As the name denotes, this game is aimed at improving students’ knowledge of parts of speech.
The teacher will divide all students into 8 groups. All these groups will represent different parts of speech, including noun, verb, adjective, adverb, pronoun, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. Now, the teacher will randomly call out three students from any of these groups (one student from each group) and tell them one sentence. Students need to identify the parts of speech their groups represent in the sentence. For instance, the teacher calls out a student from ‘Noun’ group, one from ‘Verb’ group, and one from ‘Adjective’ group and tell them a sentence. In the sentence, noun, verb, and adjective should be identified by the respective group members. This way, the game will continue.
