UP Class X, XII exams postponed to March 16

THE UTTAR PRADESH (UP) Higher Secondary Education Board has postponed the examinations for Class X and XII by a fortnight. The examinations, originally scheduled to start on March 1, will now be held from March 16 to April 20. According to Board Chairman Sanjay Mohan, the Class X exams will end on April 2, and the Class XII exams on April 20. The exams had been postponed in view of the elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, scheduled to be held between February 4 and 28, with the counting scheduled for March 4. However, there is no change in the schedule for the practical examinations, Mr. Mohan said. The practical exams will be held in two phases – from January 16 to 31 in 40 districts, and from February 1 to 15 in the remaining 35 districts.
