Egg experiment- boiled or not

Egg experiment- boiled or not

How will you understand whether an egg is boiled or not? Let’s try this project.

Materials

  • One hardboiled egg
  • One raw egg
  • Refrigerator

Instructions

  • Keep the hardboiled egg in the refrigerator so that its temperature becomes the same as that of the raw egg.
  • Spin both the eggs.
  • You will see one egg spinning, while another wobbling.
  • Now touch both the eggs lightly. You will notice one will stop and another will keep moving.

Explanation

The raw egg’s wobbling motion is due to the movement of the white and yolk inside the shell. Even when you touched the raw egg, it kept moving because of inertia. This similar type of force you experience when you stop your car suddenly.
