It is said that when reducing alkyl halide with HI, red P is needed to remove the Iodine formed,so that the reaction proceeds forward. But in reducing acetic acid to ethane, red P is not needed with HI. How is the case different?

give two reactionr to show the acidic nature of alkynes.

Alkynes show slightly acidic character. 1 – Alkynes behave as weak acids, because of more electronegativity of sp- hybridized carbon (triple bonded carbon).Alkanes and Alkenes does not show this character...

In  Controlled  oxidation  1st  alkane  reacts  with  dioxygen  to  form  methanal   in  presence  of  Cu....in  2nd  step   alkane  reacts  with  dioxygen  t  form  metanal ..in  presence  of  Mo2O3....how  these  both  are  diffrent
