The class marks distributions are 37,42,47,52,57. Determine the class size and the class limits of the last class mark.

Sol:
Lower class mark = 37
Upper class mark = 57

Range = 57 - 37 = 20

Let the number of classes be 4.
Therefore, size of the class = 20/4 = 5.
Class lim...

The median of the following observations arranged in ascending order,is 25.Find x.

11,13,15,19,x+2,x+4.30,35,39,46

Given observations in ascending order are: 11,13,15,19,x+2,x+4,30,35,39,46
Therefore the median is the average of (x + 2) and (x + 4)
Median = (x +2 + x + 4)/2 = x + 3
Given median = 25
