1. it boost in agro 
2. higher yield
3. farmers get surplus amount of production

De-Merits of Green revolution:
1. due to use of pesticides soil loses it fertility
2. imbalance in water table due use of tube wells
3. due to use of insecticides helpful microbes also get killed
