Given that surface areas of two spheres are in the ratio 1:4.

4πr² : 4πR²  = 1 : 4

r : R = 1 : 2.

Now ratio of volumes of two spheres  =  (4/3)πr3 : (4/3)πR3  =

⇒  r3 : R3  = 13 : 23 = 1: 8.
