Sol: Given, each side of the cube is 5 cm. When three cubes are joined end to end, then the resulting solid is a cuboid. Length of the cuboid, l = 2 × each side of the cube = 2 × 5 cm = 10 cm Breadth of the cuboid, b = each side of the cube = 5 cm Height of the cuboid, h = each side of the cube = 5 cm Surface area of the cuboid = 2 (lb + bh + hl) = 2 (10 cm × 5 cm + 5 cm × 5 cm + 5 cm × 10cm) = 2 (50 cm2 + 25cm2 + 50 cm2) = 2 × 125 cm2. = 250 cm2. Thus, the surface area of the resulting cuboid is 250 cm2.

It means joining three cubes length would be 15 nd b=5, h=5, Then calculate the surface area by using 2 (lb+bh+hl) formula
