Answer.     Convex lens the lens which is thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges is called convex lens concave lens the lens which is thinner in the middle and thicker at the edges is called a concave lens

1)Convex mirror :- Convex mirrors are used as rearview and sideview mirror in vehicles as they cover a wider area of view. Through these mirrors objects appear smaller and upright. 2)Concave mirror :- When the outside of the curved surface is silvered it forms a concave mirror. Light is reflected from the inside of the curved surface. A concave mirror forms a real image that can be obtained on a screen. 3)Lens :- The glasses in the spectacles are in fact lenses. The magnifying glass that you might have used to see some tiny object is also a lens.

concave mirror =A mirror that curves inward like the bottom of a bowl is called a concave mirror. convex mirror=A mirror that bends outward like a dome is called a convex mirror. concave lens=A concave lens is thicker at the edges than in the middle. convex lens=Convex lens are bent towards a central point.

Lenses have two focal points, one on either side of the lens. A concave mirror converges light to a focal point. For lenses, light converges to a point for a convex lens. A convex mirror diverges light, as does a concave lens.

Concave Mirror Convex Mirror Structure A concave mirror is a spherical mirror in which the reflecting surface and the center of curvature fall on the same side of the mirror. In other words, if the mirror coating lies outside of the spherical surface, then it is known as a concave mirror. A convex mirror is a spherical mirror in which the reflecting surface and the center of curvature lie on the opposite sides of the mirror. In other words, if the mirror coating lies in the inside of the spherical surface, then it is known as a convex mirror. Other name Converging Mirror Diverging Mirror, Fish eye mirror Image projection Can be projected on a screen Cannot be projected on a screen. Meaning Concave means “hollowed or rounded”. Convex means “curved or rounded like the outside of a sphere or circle”. MIRRORS (1) The reflecting surface of the concave mirror is bulged inwards. But the reflecting surface of the convex mirror is bulged outwards. (2) Concave mirror produces real and inverted images (except when the object is placed between pole and focus. When the object is placed between F and P, concave mirror produces virtual and erect image). But the convex mirror always produces virtual and erect images. (3) The image formed by the concave mirror may be enlarged or diminished, according to the position of the object. The image formed by the convex mirror will be always diminished.  LENSES Convex lenses are curved outward and they cause light that goes trough it to converge or concentrate on one point. Think of a magnifying glass that is used to burn something. The light that goes through it concentrates on a point so you can burn things. Concave lenses are curved inward and when light goes through it diverges or spreads out. Think of a flashlight. The light comes from a small bulb goes through it and spreads out to a bigger beam on the other side. Hope this helps,
