# Differentiate between population growth and population change.

What is the difference between population growth and population change?

Growth of population refers to the change in the number of inhabitants of a country/territory during a specific period of time, say during the last ten years. Population change is about changes in population composition; like age structure, sex ratio, literacy rate, occupational structure, etc.
