Mass Communication, refers to media like periodicals, television, internet, radio, etc.. which is available to all members of the public. Usually these are used to announce, advertise, make aware of, gain momentum for a cause, etc..

Personal Communication, refers to the communications' made by members of the public with each other, which normally includes usage of mobiles, landlines, chats, etc.. over which the infomation communicated is private. These facilities may be availed for informal and formal communications' between individuals or groups, that intend that the information transmitted remains private, i.e., within the section communicated.
