# why is it not good to sleep under a tree at night?

Surya rao Sripathi

During the day, in presence of sunlight, the plants use up the CO2 and release O2 in the process of photosynthesis. But during night, plants won’t perform photosynthesis so they are unable to use the CO2 and this further leads to increase in the proportion of CO2 in the air. During night the trees breathe in oxygen and release CO2. If one sleeps under the trees, the amount of increased CO2 in the air around will certainly affect the health. So it is inadvisable to sleep under trees during night. He suffers from suffocation. He feels excess weight on his chest. For this reason, some rural people imagine and fear that ghosts would come and sit on their chests if they sleep under Peepal or Banyan trees.

it is not good to sleep under the tree because at night the trees take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide .if we will sleep under the tree then we will get some breathing diseases.

At night, the atmosphere surrounding the tree is rich in C02 which is harmful , since photosynthesis does not take place at night and only  respiration occurs. So , sleeping under tree  is not advisable.

It is not good to sleep under a tree because the trees produce carbon dioxide at night. In the absence of sunlight plants cannot undergo the process of photosynthesis. The green pigment called chlorophyll present in the chloroplast in leaves absorb the light and the process of photosynthesis cannot take place without the light energy. Thus, during the night time, in the absence of sunlight there is no photosynthesis. Since the end product of photosynthesis is oxygen, there is no production of oxygen at night due to no photosynthesis. However, apart from photosynthesis, plants also undergo respiration in the manner similar to that of the animals both during both day and night. During night time, plants undergo respiration process only. It uses its stored glucose and atmospheric oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water vapour. Thus whereas during daytime, plants produce both oxygen and carbon dioxide. It is safe to sleep under a tree during the day. During night, it produces CO2 only, so it is not safe for a living organism to sleep under a tree. This cabon if inhaled by humans or animals shall affect their health and hence one must not sleep under a tree during night.

It is not advisable to sleep under a tree at night, because during the night, without the presence of sunlight the process of photosynthesis is unable to take place in the leaves of the tree. oxygen is a by-product of photosynthesis. so at night tress only respire, giving out carbon dioxide. Hence, the air around the tree becomes rich in Co2 due to which the person sleeping might suffer from some problems.

Rida fatima

at night time oxygen is taken by trees and carbon dioxide is release instead of oxygen

Sagarneel Mukherjee

Trees release carbon dioxide at night and carbon dioxide being heavier than air descendes. So a person sleeping under a tree breathes carbon dioxide which is harmful for the human body.

Mamta

Because at night trees take oxygen and release co2 that's why it is not good to sleep at night and it is harmful for us.

Rahul Raghavendra

We should not sleep under a tree as during the night tree respire where the amount of Co2 increase in the surrounding. So; during respiration by us while sleeping under a tree we may affect our health as due to the amount of carbon dioxide is little bit higher around the tree.

Sanalkumar S

THE TREES RESPIRE OXYGEN AND RELESE CARBONDIOXIDE ON NIGHTAND IF WE SLLEP BELOW A TREE AT NIGHT THE ARE WE RESPIRE CAN HAVE MORE AMOUNT OF CARBONDIOXIDE

Ankit Shil

Beacaue it is said that at night Trees take oxygen and relese Carbon dioxide which is harmfull to animals

Tanmay

We should not sleep under a tree at night beacuse at night trees start repiration process in which trees start absorbing oxygen and release carbon dioxide

because respiration takes place
