60 UP govt school teachers suspended for fake BEd degrees

Over 60 government school teachers from Uttar Pradesh have been suspended and will face legal action for allegedly using fake BEd degrees to get their positions. The officials reckon that more than 4,5000 government school teachers across the state got jobs using fake BEd degrees or other certificates.
District Basic Shiksha Adhikari Chandra Shekhar said that efforts are being made by him and his peers to identify such teachers across the various districts.
This news comes a few days after the Yogi Adityanth-led UP government sacked Narainji Yadav who joined the service in 1999 with a fake BEd mark sheet. The departmental probe had found him guilty of using fake education certificates twenty years ago to join his position.
