JEE Advanced to be online from 2018

The the Joint Admission Board (JAB) for the IITs has decided to make the Joint Entrance Examination – JEE Advanced online from 2018 onwards. The JAB, which has all the IIT directors as members, took the decision yesterday.

The students will answer the questions in the exam on computers at the designated exam centres. At present, they have to use pen and paper to fill optical mark reading (OMR) sheets.

Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resource Development had provided the online option for the JEE Mains. This year, more than 13,00,000 students took the JEE Mains. Less than 10% of them selected the online option.
