NCERT books will cover demonetisation, Beti Bachao and Swachh Bharat

The National Council of Educational Research and Training’s NCERT books are going to cover the Digital India, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The NCERT will create these books according to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus.

A number of law colleges and business schools already have these as part of their syllabi.

The changes

The NCERT will include Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Digital India campaign  in Social Sciences books.

It will also include the Goods and Service Tax (GST) in the Economics books for class 10. NCERT books for CBSE schools are going to teach students about constitutional rights such as the Right to Information Act as well.

The NCERT will include these changes in its textbooks from the next academic year, 2018-2019.
