To mark the celebration of 68th Republic Day, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has directed all schools affiliated to CBSE, states and UT boards, including KVs and JNVs, to hold a national level painting/drawing competition.

The competitions will be held on 16th and 17th January in the schools itself. Students will be required to exhibit their creativity on either of the two topics of their category:

  • Category 1 (Grades 6-8): ‘Swachh Bharat’ or ‘The School of my Dreams’
  • Category 2 (Grades 9-10): ‘Ek Bharath, Shreshtha Bharat’ or Digital India’

Following the competition, the schools will be required to forward the entries to the regional offices by January 19, which then will be sent to the headquarters of KVs, JNVs and CBSE by January, 21. The winning entries will be uploaded on the MHRD website on January 24, 2017. All participants will receive E-certificates of participation and the winners will be given E-Certificates of merit.
