Going to future expresses a conclusion regarding the immediate future or an action in the near future that has already been planned or prepared.
 

                                 Form of going to Future

                           Use of going to Future

  •  An action in the near future that has already been planned or prepared
                          Example: I am going to study harder next year.
                                             I'm going to see him later today.
                                             They're going to launch it next month.
                                             We're going to have lunch first.
 

  •  A conclusion regarding the immediate future
                           Example: The sky is absolutely dark. It is going to rain
                                              It's 8.30! You're going to miss the train!
                                              I crashed the company car. My boss isn't going to be very happy!
