Conversions
A given percentage can be converted into fractions and decimals. Also, a decimal can be converted as percentage. To convert a percentage into a fraction Remove the percent sign, and then divide the number by hundred. e.g. 20% = $\frac{\text{20}}{\text{100}}$ = $\frac{\text{1}}{\text{5}}$. To convert a percentage into a decimal Step 1: Remove the percent sign. Step 2: Divide the number by 100, or move the decimal point two places to the left in the numerator.           e.g. 4% = $\frac{\text{4}}{\text{100}}$ = 0.04 To convert a decimal into a percentage Step1: Convert the decimal into a fraction. Step 2: Multiply the fraction by hundred. Step 3: Put a percent sign next to the number. Else, shift the decimal point two places to the right.       e.g. 0.25       = $\frac{\text{25}}{\text{100}}$       = $\frac{\text{25}}{\text{100}}$ × 100       = 25 %
