Verb Phrases
A verb phrase consists of a verb and all its modifiers.
Example:
- Hari is waiting for the rain to stop.
- She might enjoy an ice – cream.
- They are eager to go to the party.
An adverbial phrase is a group of words that act together as an adverb, giving more information about a verb, adjective, or other adverb in a sentence.
- Meera would always talk with a nationalistic tone.
- Radha sings in a low register.
- He sits like a monk meditates.
