The noun phrase which follows the preposition can be called a prepositional complement and the preposition together with its complement is known as a prepositional phrase. A groups of words used with the force of a single preposition. Phrase prepositions are phrases like because of, by means of, with regard to, according to me, in the place of, on behalf of, instead of, on account of, in opposition to, for the sake of etc. Examples; I am speaking on behalf of  the management. Rajesh cancelled the tour because of his examoination. Shetal succeeded by means of perseverance. Can I get Juice instead of tea. He died for the sake of his country. He prepared a report according to his views.
