AP to recruit 11,139 teachers, 9,569 new school assistants

THE GOVERNMENT OF Andhra Pradesh (AP) has decided to recruit 11,139 school teachers and also create 9,569 new posts of School Assistants in the state. The School Assistants will be for various subjects, including Telugu and Hindi, under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), while the teachers will be recruited to fill up the vacancies in government and Zilla Parishad schools. The 11,139 posts of teachers to which recruitments are proposed to be made include 2,284 school assistants, 1,304 Language Pandits Grade II, 343 physical education teachers and 7,208 SGT’s. The district-wise break-up of the posts of School Assistants is Srikakulam – 545, Vizianagaram – 371, Visakhapatnam – 419, East Godavari – 960, West Godavari – 709, Krishna – 207, Guntur – 422, Prakasam – 89, Nellore – 62, Chittoor – 528, Kadapa – 97, Anantapur – 399, Kurnool – 625, Mahaboobnagar – 506, Rangareddy – 633, Hyderabad – 4, Medak – 675, Nizamabad – 413, Adilabad – 258, Karimnagar – 605, Warangal – 341, Khammam – 167 and Nalgonda – 534.
