6 new IITs at Bhilai, Jammu, Dharwad, Goa, Palakkad, Tirupati

The government of India has cleared a plan to construct six IIT campuses. They expect to complete the construction by March 31, 2020.

Nearly 1200 students will attend various courses at each campus in the academic year 2020-21. At present, all six IITs are functioning from temporary campuses and have nearly 1500 students. When the campuses are ready, they will have 7200 students.
